Movie Ratings
99.9% of the movies below were importered from another database I made a while back. This means that I have to rate them all manually. I just defaulted them to an average rating.
The date watched is the date the movie was added to the former database, so don’t start thinking that I watch about 20 movies a day.
I hope to clean it up the next couple of weeks Done….

Untraceable (2008)
7/10

Apart for some (techno)flaws well worth watching

Dan in Real Life (2007)

Nice movie with 'one of those' predictable endings. Lot's of romance and drama with the occasional (well placed) comedy

Vantage Point (2008)
9/10
2008-04-12 20:10
The movie takes place in about 30 minutes, but you see it 8 different times. From different angles and through the eyes of different people. Every time the movie 'restarts' you get closer to learning the truth.
Great angle for a film, and definitely worth watching.

Handycam coverage of a monster-attack on New York City. Can't wait for the sequel.

Fitna (2008)
1/10
2008-03-27 20:38
Complete waste of time. If you've watched the news the last couple of years, you've seen this 'movie'. The average teen with a cellphone camera and Windows Moviemaker delivers better footage......
I guess I was hoping for a Michael Moore approach on the subject.

Rendition (2007)

This movie didn't get the exposure it should have. But than again, most movies criticizing the so-called 'war on terror' don't

some scary shit. I read the book ages ago, and the movie was everything I hoped it would be.
A real Stephen King

Hitman (2007)
6/10
2008-02-21 23:19
Nice entertainment. The parts from the trailer where Vatican involvement is shown is missing in the movie. Also a bit more character building (background etc.) on Agent 47 would have been nice.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007)
6/10
2008-01-13 20:44
almost a rerun of the first movie. Predictable, and sporadicly funny, but not a total waste of time (if you're willing to ignore some 'faults' in the movie/script)

I Am Legend (2007)
8/10
2007-12-24 12:38
Great movie, with a marvelous Will Smith. Carrying the film by himself. One drawback; the 'monsters', and lions are obviously computer generated. That's a pity.

Shoot 'Em Up (2007)

Ratatouille (2007)

Bug's Life, Shrek, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille... Nice, but perhaps I'm spoiled. It's starting to be more of the same.

Bourne Ultimatum, The (2007)

fortunately, good endings to a trilogy still do exist. Shrek the Third and even Pirates of the Caribbean could have learned something.

1408 (2007)
7/10
2007-10-07 21:42
Very good suspense with a kinda weird ending. Well, it's after a Stephen King story, so that's probably the reason.

Ocean's Thirteen (2007)
7/10

This time a more linear story, so the big surprise at the end of the first movie is kinda gone, and some things were far fetched. Nevertheless, quite enjoyable

28 Weeks Later (2007)
9/10
2007-08-25 23:50
'28 Days Later' was a genuine gem. Looked low-cost (don't know if it really was low-cost), but the movie was awesome. This one doesn't let the first one down in any way. It's a sequel, the way sequels are meant to be.
And in this case horrifyingly good. The thrill stats at about five minutes into the movie and lasts till the end.
A "28 Months Later" would be nice to see if they could make a decent hattrick on this one.

Ghost Rider (2007)

They should stop to make movies of cartoons. The fantastic 4 (part two), most Spidermans (2 and 3), a couple of Batmans (all but Batman Begins), and the Hulk were terrible. The only decent cartoon turned into a film were the X-Men movies(so far)

Watching without subs is not recommended, since 30% of the movie contains 'viking' language. Maybe that's the reason for the low score.

Sicko (2007)
10/10
2007-06-29 12:15
Michael Moore does it again. After Bowling for Columbine, and Fahrenheit 9/11 he targets the US medical system in this sickening 2 hour documentary.
Mr. Moore is making sure that I won't migrate to the States. Getting sick in the US is almost a certain death.

Just saw Death Proof. For some lame reason they don't do the double feature here in Holland.
If you liked 'Reservoir Dogs', and 'Pulp Fiction', you're gonna love this.
I can't wait for 'Planet Terror' by Rodriguez, which will be available next month.
